We were honored when WSOL was announced the 2009 Ektron Partner of the Year. WSOL has worked very closely with Ektron and CMS400 for a long time, so to be recognized with this award exemplifies that hard work does indeed pay off.
Why We Use Ektron
Years ago, we received an RFP for a local client that had some pretty hefty requirements. After investigating a number of solutions, we realized that the Ektron CMS was a great find, and that we could do some amazing things for our clients using CMS400 as the foundation.
Growing the Practice
Looking back at 2009, I thought of some of the key projects that made it such a great year.
Early in the year we worked with Viva, an organization dedicated to impacting the lives of children in need. We rebuilt their website, developed a social network community, and deployed custom themes for each of their regional offices across the globe.
We helped the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn redesign their site. By primarily using Ektron Smart Forms to control content entry, we gave them the ability to maintain visually consistent formatting, while distributing content authorship among a large number of contributors with varying technical levels.
We rebuilt the website for Judson University to replace an unmanageable and inefficient CMS400 implementation with one that follows best practices and that is easily managed.
And we’re especially proud of the All Star Award winning IGA.com. Like the Judson site and many others, IGA is powered by our innovative SuperTemplate technology that was introduced in 2009. The SuperTemplate gives site owners unique and powerful control of page layouts and functionality.
We’ve worked hard to identify the best ways to meet our client’s needs using CMS400. And we’ve accomplished this by developing innovative best practices and without customizing CMS400 beyond recognition.
What the Future Holds
With each project, we’ve tried to push creative and technical boundaries. By doing so, our goal is to help clients maximize the potential of CMS400 and get the most out of their investment.
Hopefully 2010 will continue to be ripe with new challenges and exciting opportunities. Thanks to Ektron and our clients for a great 2009.
