Synergy 2010

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando
November 7-10, 2010

Building on the success of the last three years, Ektron's Synergy 2010 will be the ultimate opportunity to network with Ektron experts and fellow customers. Join WSOL in Orlando this fall and learn how to make the most out of your Ektron-powered initiatives.

Meet WSOL

Several members of the WSOL team will be on hand to meet with you one-on-one to answer questions and ensure that you have a great experience. In addition, Ektron's 2009 Partner of the Year WSOL is featured on the first morning on the Business Track with our presentation "Yes, CMS400.NET Can Do That." The synopsis for the session is below, but let me tell you, this is one session that you don't want to miss...

Ektron makes it easy to say “yes, it can do that” when new requests come along. Join 2009 Ektron Partner of the Year WSOL to learn about cutting edge technologies like WSOL’s SuperTemplate technology, mobile site design and applications, third-party system integration with CMS400, and more just waiting to enhance your Ektron site – all while following Best Practices for both development and hosting. Don’t miss this year’s edition of what was one of last year’s most talked about sessions!

More from WSOL

In addition to our session, WSOL's work in building the mobile website for the University of Tampa is being featured as well (synopsis below). Chris Goodwin from the University of Tampa is presenting their mobile site built by WSOL on the Ektron CMS400.NET content management system. Ironically, this session is right ahead of ours, so Monday morning on the Business Track will be a WSOL-centric morning at Synergy 2010.

The University of Tampa has such a diverse audience — from teenagers applying to college to longtime community members looking for the next theater production — that communicating with them in various ways is critical. This need for communication and marketing, combined with the rise in Internet connectivity via mobile devices, prompted the university to develop a mobile version of its website.

This presentation will walk you through a mobile website launch from inception to completion utilizing CMS400.NET technology. UT Mobile does not replace UT’s traditional full website but allows for easier and quicker access and connection to campus for people on the go. The mobile website is seamlessly integrated with the full website and is accessible by a wide variety of smartphone devices. UT’s mobile website successfully serves as a gateway for a variety of services for current students, future students, parents, alumni and community members.

Presenter Christine Goodwin is the web designer at the University of Tampa, a medium-sized comprehensive, private university located in downtown Tampa, Florida. Christine manages the university’s public website www.ut.edu, oversees the branding of all UT’s web communications and implements new web strategy initiatives. Christine has 12 years of experience in print and web communications working for private corporations, non-profits and advertising agencies. In December, Christine will be awarded a M.S. in marketing degree from UT.
